Electrical Testing

At CSE Technical Services, we understand that the safety of your electrical infrastructure is paramount. Our qualified team carries out rigorous testing and commissioning procedures to measure the quality of electrical installations, ensuring they meet strict local standards and regulations.

Whether for a new project handover or routine maintenance, we provide the insights you need to keep your facility running safely.

Our Core Testing Services

We utilize state-of-the-art calibrated equipment to perform a full spectrum of diagnostics:

  1. Electrical Cold Testing (De-energized)

Before power is applied, it is critical to verify the integrity of the system.

  • Megger Test / Insulation Resistance (IR) Test: We measure the resistance of insulation on cables and windings to detect moisture, deterioration, or damage before it causes a short circuit.

  1. Electrical Live Testing (Energized)

Once the system is powered, we perform dynamic tests to ensure protection devices function correctly during a fault.

  • Earth Fault Loop Impedance: Verifying that the path to earth is low enough to trigger circuit breakers instantly during a fault.

  • PEFC & PSC: Prospective Earth Fault Current and Prospective Short Circuit Current measurements.

  • ELCB / RCD Testing: Ensuring Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers trip within the required time limits to prevent electric shock.

  • Polarity Test: Confirming that switches and protective devices are connected to the live conductor, not the neutral.

  1. Specialized Diagnostics

  • Cable Fault Finding: Precision location of underground or hidden cable faults to minimize excavation and downtime.

  • Penetration Testing: Inspecting barriers and seals to ensure fire and safety integrity.

  • LUX Level Testing: Measuring lighting intensity to ensure your workspace meets illumination standards for safety and productivity.
